Project Q-ARM officially started on 1st November 2025: a new step towards enabling critical capabilities for the EU Defence.
We are proud to announce the official start of the Project Q-ARM (Quantum Agile and Resilient Military Communications), funded under the European Defence Fund among the Disruptive EDF research actions.
During the 36-months duration of the activities, Q-ARM will develop a comprehensive end-to-end simulator that models quantum satellite to ground station communication with innovative features, combining together different powerful technologies.
The Q-ARM Consortium includes organisations from several EU Member States:
- AlmavivA Group, as project Coordinator and leader of the technical activities related to PQC, cryptography and blockchain as well as integration
- Zanasi&Partners, for Defence Stakeholders’ engagement and DCE activities
- N10GLED, for the space based QKD simulator and the development of the Q-ARM Key Management System
- HD-INFO, for the development of a hardware physical electronic random number generator
- Wojskowa Akademia Techniczna Im.Jaroslawa Dabrowskiego, for research and testing of fibre – optics QKD as well as optical QRNG
- Politechnika Warszawska, for the security analysis of the hybrid PQC+QKD mechanism
- Defence Research Institute, for the definition of defence requirements
- Tecoms, for ethics, legal, and IPR
- Afcea Sofia Chapter, for information security compliance
